Books are sources of knowledge about spiritual and moral life. Their role in education, upbringing, intellectual development of young people is very great. Through an appeal to a book, reading, a person joins spiritual values, develops, expands his horizons. Reading highly artistic literature contributes to the formation of a harmonious personality - a personality of active, creative, combining spiritual wealth, moral purity, physical perfection.
Life makes increased demands on humanity, and the task of each educational institution is to prepare young specialists who will be in demand in later life, to show them the right guidelines. In 2010, the release of books of the series « Өнегелі өмір» about the life and work of famous statesmen and public figures, scientists began.
In 2011, the first book of this series was published - about the doctor of legal sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Salyk Zimanov.A group of specialists is working on each issue to collect and prepare material for printing. Within the framework of this series, 222 books and 7 special issues have been published.
A special issue of the series of books “Өнегелі өмір” is dedicated to Academician Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev, an outstanding geologist and organizer of science, a major thinker and natural scientist, public and statesman.
Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev – Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1942), professor (1950), first director of the Institute of Geology of the Kazakh branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1941-1964), deputy chairman of this branch (1942-1946), academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1946) , organizer and first president of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR (1946), laureate of the State (1942) and Lenin (1958) prizes.
