The book is dedicated to the memory of B.A. Atshabarov, Honored Doctor of the Kazakh SSR, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. B.A. Atshabarov developed many scientific areas in medicine, led a comprehensive program to study the harmful effects of atomic weapons tests at the Semey nuclear test site.
