The book is dedicated to Akhmet Zhubanov, an outstanding Kazakh composer, founder of the National Academy of Sciences and the only academician in the history of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan who specialized in study of art, the first rector of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy. A. Zhubanov was the organizer and first conductor of the Kurmangazy Orchestra of Kazakh Folk Instruments, the organizer and first director of the Kazakh State Philharmonic named after Zhambyl, the organizer and first head of the department of Kazakh folk instruments and the conducting class at the conservatory. Archival materials, memoirs of famous scientists, contemporaries, students and relatives about Akhmet Kuanyshuly Zhubanov, as well as photographs of different years are presented in the book.
