The book is dedicated to the outstanding geologist, scientist and major organizer of science, the founder of the republican geological service and the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, its first president academician -Kanysh Imantaiuly Satbayev. One of the brightest pages in the history of the geological study and disclosure of the wealth of the bowels of Kazakhstan is associated with his name. Thanks to the tireless work of Satbayev and his followers-geologists in the bowels of Kazakhstan, almost all the elements of the periodic table of Mendeleev were discovered.

The publication presents archival materials, memoirs of contemporaries and relatives, media publications and selected works of the scientist, as well as photographs.
